When people ask me what I do for a living I always reply “I get paid to climb trees”. I enjoy working hard in nature and have worked outside with greenery since the 8th grade, when I began working for my father’s landscaping company.  From there, I decided to focus more on tree care and removal, starting my own company when I married my wife at 23. Pam takes care of all that “business stuff” so I can do what I love.

Along the way I’ve learned alot from some excellent, knowledgeable people, while gaining my own skills through on-the-job training. In total I have almost 20 years experience pruning and safely removing hazardous trees. At my disposal are climbing gear, as well as hydraulics to make sure we do an excellent, safe job. We can make your space look great with some well-thought-out proper cuts, or a complete removal.  Call us, or fill out a contact request form and we can do a free walk-through of your property and talk some trees.

My wife and best friend. She takes care of all the “business stuff”. Seventeen years ago, I told her I wanted to wait to get married until I owned my own business. She decided she would just go ahead and take care of that for me right away (she knew I had cold feet).
One week later I was licensed and insured. She went out and acquired contracts from several property management companies, so I had plenty of work to make a comfortable living. She worked for her father as well doing all his “business stuff”, so I really shouldn’t have been surprised.

Now, she is with me in the trees, in the lift, on the ground cleaning up, and in the office keeping me busy. Oh, and I forgot to mention, she can also repair appliances! Another amazing skill she learned from her father.
I take care of everything outside and she can take care of everything inside. Together, we will get the job done safely and timely.

Safety First

I have to switch gears from light-heartedness to seriousness. Safety is my #1, Top Dog, Chief, Superior concern, and I do not take this lightly. Everyone on the job site must have their PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) on at all times no exceptions. It’s just not worth it.

While I do enjoy tree service and working with nature, I never compromise on safety, or the safety of others. My respect for life and property will always come first, even if it means I have to lose money or turn down a job. I also know my limitations as well as my equipment, because I have three girls I want to come home to every evening.

I have never had any accidents or major injury, and intend to keep it that way. The credit goes to well thought-out and safely executed cuts, body positioning, and I do not take risk or shortcuts.

On that note, any tree man will tell you sometimes trees have minds of their own. Although I have never made a claim, I still carry $1,000,000 worth of liability insurance, and can produce a Certificate of Insurance with my agents information, before we even start the job. No problem, just ask, we have nothing to hide.
